Dun & Bradstreet erroneously reported yesterday that Pliant Corporation has filed a voluntary petition for bankruptcy in Utah. THIS IS CATEGORICALLY FALSE AND UNTRUE - PLIANT CORPORATION HAS NOT FILED A PETITION FOR BANKRUPTCY NOR DOES IT HAVE A PLAN OR NEED TO FILE SUCH A PETITION. Dun & Bradstreet's error appears to be the result of a low level clerical error by a federal court official in Utah in connection with a lawsuit to which Pliant is not even a party.
As is well known, Pliant has completed a very successful reorganization, emerging from Chapter 11 in July 2006.
